Like the iconic character from the French comic book series 'Asterix,' Silvia’s 'O'belix' is brimming with vitality and freshness. Only the grapes of the oldest vines of Garganega are used for this cuvee and are carefully harvested from select bunches. After spontaneous fermentation, with some whole cluster maceration, the wine is aged for several months in terracotta amphora. This is pure, old-world wine making; no clarification, filtration or addition of sulfur. What results is a bright, light orange wine bursting with citrus notes and a touch of flinty herbaceousness. You might even consider pairing it with Obelix’s favorite dish: wild boar!
